Science education is urgent. We need to manage the future of a warming planet with limited resources, for a rapidly growing human population.
Western North Carolina is a critical area for science education. We have so many opportunities here for science education — world-class biodiversity, dark skies for observing astronomy, geological wonders at every turn, beautiful creeks and rivers, and so many strong organizations that are working on science communication — we need to work together to share science with our good neighbors.
AS IF Center and partners are developing a coalition of organizations whose mission is to share science with the public. Watch this page for more information about this growing coalition of science education organizations in the Asheville / Western North Carolina area.
