I have been a guest instructor in undergraduate and graduate classes, taught art-science workshops, curated art-science exhibits and performances, developed art-science symposia, facilitated art-science collaborations, led art-science hikes, and directed other art-science activities. This is a growing list, with many with repeated invitations.
Weaving together art + science + nature, I invite participation through observation, drawing and other art-making, photography, responsible collecting, and citizen science. I can tailor topics for your needs — college level, high school, or middle school — online, at your institution, or at AS IF Center. What engaging art-science content can I create for your students?
With years of experience inspiring students with experiential learning in the environment, I can help you develop creative, curriculum-aligned online learning activities for teaching biology and environmental science, integrated with the arts.
Need help designing and implementing a Broader Impacts component for your NSF grant? I partner with researchers, university departments, biological field stations, and other research entities to design and implement creative science engagement.
This interactive project invites folks all over the Southern Appalachian region to celebrate and learn about nature by producing 3 x 5 Nature Journals. Participants can share their images to create a large collaborative document of the region’s natural history.
